Detailed Itinerary

The trip meets in Split at your accommodation anytime after 16:00, after which you will be able to check into your rooms. Your trip leader will be in the lobby from 16:00-22:00. If your flight arrives early Thursday morning or late Thursday night, please inform your trip leader ahead of time. They will coordinate with the front desk to give you your room key and weekend information.

Friday is a free day to explore the marble city of Split or participate in optional activities. Optional activities include a white-water rafting trip on the Cetina River, a cruise to the island of Brac, sea-kayaking adventure, and rock climbing.  If you choose not to join any of the outdoor adventures, you can spend your day laying out on one of Split’s beaches, join a tour of the Split city center, visit the Diocletian Palace, rent a bike and ride up Marjan Hill, or take a day trip to local surrounding towns, like Omiš. You can hop on the local bus to the town of Omiš, which is located 25 kilometers from Split and is where the Cetina River meets the sea.

Saturday morning we will depart Split for Krka National Park. There you will have a few hours to swim nearby the beautiful waterfalls,  explore the winding trails, and eat lunch. After spending the afternoon in Krka, we will return to Split for the evening. Saturday night is free to explore Split’s many restaurants, cafes, and pubs.

Sunday we depart Split. Check out from our accommodation is at 10:00 and luggage storage is available through the hostel.

Optional Activities*

Private Island Cruise to Braĉ: Spend your day cruising around Croatia's Dalmatian coastline, visiting the island of Brač. This tour stops at beautiful bays along the way for swimming breaks, and makes its way along the beautiful island of Brač. Lunch is included on this activity.

Cetina River Rafting Adventure: Experience an adventurous ride down Croatia's natural beauty, the emerald green Cetina River. Duck through lush overgrown trees expanding over the river and find yourself in large scenic expanses as you rush down the Cetina. Rafting gear and lunch is included in this activity.

Marjan Hill Scenic Peninsula Paddle: Explore the "wild side" of Split from the sea level perspective, just minutes away from busy city center! This is a perfect paddling experience for all beginners, as we keep close to the shore. As the scenery changes from secluded bays in shaded pine forests to pebble beaches, we`ll stop for a dip in one of the bays-a perfect location for snorkeling as well!

Marjan Hill Discovery Climb: If there is anything Dalmatia doesn't lack, its rocks. So while you are here, why not climb some?!  Split and its surrounding offer many exciting opportunities for those willing to give it a go. Our instructors will find a route tailored to your skill level and we`ll provide climbing gear as well.
